The House Wisdom Built
Have you ever noticed that when we talk about intentions, we usually focus on what we "meant" to do instead of what we actually did?
Maybe you intended to go to the gym this week, but you chose to sleep in. Perhaps you planned to visit your parents, but the days slipped away. Maybe you never intended to hurt a friend's feelings, yet your words left a wound.
Intentions are easy to declare.
Wisdom helps us live them.
Think about this. Godly intention is more than a good desire. It is a heart surrendered to God's will and a life that consistently moves in that direction.
When our intentions are shaped by God's Word, our everyday choices begin to reflect the future He is leading us toward.
If God has called you to live a life of lasting impact, then honoring Him with your health becomes an act of wisdom. If you've been praying for healing in your family, intentionally making time for meaningful conversations becomes part of your obedience. If you've asked God to help you navigate conflict, then choosing your words with grace and patience becomes evidence that His wisdom is shaping your heart.
Our actions reveal what our hearts truly intend.
Living intentionally means considering the outcome of today's decisions before we make them. Wisdom teaches us to ask, "Does this choice move me closer to the life God is calling me to live?"
The beautiful truth is that God never asks us to figure this out alone. He gives us His Spirit to guide us, His Word to direct us, and His grace to redirect us whenever we wander. Every new day is another opportunity to realign our choices with His purpose.
Today, choose to live intentionally. Let your decisions reflect your prayers, your priorities reflect your faith, and your actions reveal your trust in God's promises. A life surrendered to Him will increasingly produce the very fruit He desires.
Daily Challenge
Write down one God-honoring intention for this season of your life. Then identify one practical choice you can make today that supports that intention. Pray over it, asking God to help your daily decisions align with the purpose He has placed in your heart.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of another day and another opportunity to walk in Your wisdom. Thank You for Your grace that allows me to begin again whenever I lose my way. Help me live intentionally according to Your Word and Your will. Align my thoughts, my choices, and my actions with the purpose You have for my life. Give me the courage to say "yes" to Your way, trusting that through my obedience You will accomplish far more than I could ever do on my own.
May my life bring glory, honor, and praise to You in all that I do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
